The Tower Room
A new story arc means a full-color splash page! Huzzah!
For those of you that like the behind the scenes stuff, here’s a little backstory. The first two splash pages took over five hours each. I keep fairly busy, so having to spend over five hours on a single comic is not very reasonable for me. Thus I tried to keep this page nice and simple, and I was able to cut production time in over half and still be reasonably satisfied with the results. Hopefully as my art skills improve and I get more practice with GIMP, I’ll be able to get more detailed in the same amount of time.
Oh, and in case you missed it, there was a special Halloween posting on Saturday.
Have fun!

Ice Cream Solves Everything
Recognize the pair in the poster (panel 2)? That’s Katie and Ship from Count Your Sheep by Adrian Ramos. I thought that having a CYS poster in her room would really fit Nikki’s personality; it seems like the type of comic she would enjoy. CYS is one of my favorite comics out there; be sure to check it out!

Debate Is Fun, Set-Minded Professors Aren’t
This comic is actually based off of a history class I had. The second panel is a direct quote. Most of my professors in college have been great, but this professor (deliberately unnamed) is one of the worst I’ve ever had. I was quite offended by her statement, but at the time I was too distracted by sketching preliminary comics during class to start a debate, plus she discouraged discussion. Looking back, I wish I would have, so I made this comic instead with the objective to encourage people to have open minds and not see everything as good vs. evil.
Also, this comic lands on Mole Day! I accidentally forgot about Mole Day when I was scripting the comic, and by the time I remembered it would have thrown off my entire script to include a special comic honoring this awesome holiday.
Have fun!
