Percival isn’t TOTALLY hapless. He does have a certain skillset, just not one that gives him much of an advantage in the woods. He’s like Bruce Banner on the helicarrier, minus the whole Hulk thing.

I’ll be combining a few of these because the site doesn’t really like it when I put two updates on one day, and I do still have the regularly scheduled SR: Not on a Camel to post. These two prompts combined very easily for me.
Also, Percival has a hat now. It just adds to his adorable roly-poly-ness. Mariam is presumably somewhere nearby. He hopes.

AA3: Both Characters Together in the Woods
Again, I just love Percival. He is the Samwise Gamgee of this challenge; he knows what he is doing is right, but he has no idea WHAT he is doing.
On the flip side, WHY DID I CHOOSE ARCHERY FOR MARIAM????? That’s not easy to draw.

AA2: A Companion for Your Travels
And here is #AdventureApril Day 2! Of course I couldn’t have a character based odd of Nikki without having one tased off of Percy as well! The idea of Percy as a bumbling dwarfish cleric/alchemist amused me greatly.
As I said yesterday, the rest will likely not be in color (unless I am particularly proud of one of these sketches) because of time.

AA1: Adventurer Protagonist
Welcome to #AdventureApril! This was a prompt started by @mattydraws that I thought could be a fun challenge, so off we go! In March, because for some reason it starts on March 31.
Now, who could Mariam be based on, I wonder…? You get a cookie if you can guess where that last name came from. Not all of these will be in color, but the first two establish the main characters, so I wanted to color them. Expect the ones in the future to be a little sketchier…literally. They are meant to be quick sketches, and I don’t have the time to do daily full art anyway.
